Nurse certificate in Emergency and Critical Care ( NCert-ECC by Improve)

Emergency cases can be some of the most challenging and rewarding patients to deal with in practice.
This programme will increase your knowledge and confidence enabling you to act swiftly and calmly resulting in a positive impact on the clinical outcome of your emergency patients. 

The programme is a collaboration between AniCura Continuing Education (ACE) and Improve, intended to give tools suitable for you who wish to develop your skills and improve in all different areas of ECC. If you  are a qualified nurse the programme entitles you to sit an examination. A Nurse Certificate in ECC (NCert E&CC) will be awarded the candidates passing the examination.

PROGRAMME DESCRIPTION
The Nurses Certificate in ECC programme covers key emergency and critical care areas such as triage, monitoring and stabilisation, surgical emergency procedures, fluid therapy in the emregency patient and more. The programme will increase confidence in this vital area of veterinary nursing. 

LECTURERS
The lecturers are from the UK and all are ECC specialists with a strong driving force to share their knowledge to others. Read more about them in the attachment"Lecturers". 

TARGET GROUP AND COURSE LANGUAGE 
The target group for this course are qualified AniCura nurses with practical and theoretical experience of ECC but wish to deepen their knowledge and develop their skills.

Please note that this course is accredited by ISVPS and leads to a title depending on the background of delegates: 
  - Certified Nurses* – NCert  
  - Assistants or non certified nurses – VPPCert 
*Certified Nurses have to provide their university diplomas to ISVPS.

The course language is English.

HOTEL and TRAVEL
Travel arrangements for the on-site modules have to be arranged by each participant. 
Accommodation will be arranged and covered by AniCura.

MODULES
The Nurses Certificate in ECC programme is built on ten different modules. See enclosed document "Programme". Four modules will be conducted on-site in Improve's training center in Madrid, Calle Julián Camarillo, 29 Edificio D2 bajo. Five modules will be live streamed online. Nurses attending the ECC programme will receive:
- A defined course syllabus with learning objectives for each taught module
- Access to a learning management system for pre- and post- module questions and self-reflections, course notes library, discussion forums and other study resources
- A dedicated programme lecturer to provide course support
- Reading lists relevant to each module and extra information sources given by the module lecturer. These may include textbook chapters, journals, papers or web-based material.

COURSE VALUE
The value of the whole programme is EUR 3228 excl VAT. Included is access to all platforms for 2 years; Online lessons and recordings; Access to improve facilities and face-to-face classes with specialist; hotel 2 nights, 1 dinner, refreshments and lunch at the Face-to-Face modules; Assessments of ISVPS; 1 year access to RCVS library; Online module of RECOVER; Accreditation of course.

If a re-examination is needed this will be the clinic/delegate responsibility to pay for. It is only possible to register for the whole programme.

REGISTRATION
To sign up to the programme start by selecting quantity in the booking option below. Secondly you fill in your personal details, email address and answer the questions. Thirdly select payment by card and fill in requested information. To finalise your booking press the button "Book" at the end. Confirm your registration by pressing the button "Confirm" in the pop-up window. Within a few minutes you will receive a booking confirmation to your email, follow the link in the email to complete your booking. When you have done that you will receive another email with a receipt for the event. Once you have received the receipt for the event, you are registered.
