At home today, I’m kept company by my two beloved cats, Loki and Lou, who are constant reminders of why I chose this profession. They bring joy and energy into my daily life and are the perfect companions after a busy day at the clinic.

While my education initially focused on utility animals, my practice manager encouraged me to join AniCura’s Veterinary Graduate Programme. This advice proved invaluable, as the programme not only broadened my knowledge of companion animals but also introduced me to a network of supportive and skilled colleagues from across Europe.
A journey of growth
As a naturally shy person, I often feared making mistakes early in my career. The programme provided the structured learning environment I needed to build confidence in my clinical decisions. From internal medicine to clinical communication, the training sessions were tailored to address real-world challenges.
One particularly impactful experience was a workshop on handling consultations. Learning how to communicate effectively with pet owners helped me gain trust and foster meaningful relationships – something that has become one of my favorite parts of the job.
Finding my path
I initially thought the programme would help me specialize in a specific area, but it instead reignited my love for being an “all-round” veterinarian. Every day is different, and I thrive on the variety of challenges and cases that come my way.
